This week, our Secondary students gathered for a session led by our Therapy & Pastoral Care team to celebrate Neurodiversity Celebration Week. Together, we explored how to embrace our unique strengths and differences.
Key takeaways
- Be kind & understanding —support one another!
- Be encouraging —you have the power to change someone’s day
- Self-advocacy – Students wrote a message, “Dear Teacher, I wish you knew…” that allowed them to express their challenges and strengths, advocating for themselves in the process
As Pranav, a Year 12 student, shared: “This school helped me understand neurodiversity; it’s like some of us think differently — which is why we learn differently here.”
