Our son has been at Winstedt for the past four years and we have found the school to be
incredibly nurturing and welcoming providing children with a fantastic environment within
which to grow. The dedication of the teachers and staff has been phenomenal, and the
community has been a joy to be a part of.
The school is able to both support children who need extra help and push those who are
academically strong. The teachers have always found different ways to help our son grasp
the subject in question or think of different strategies to help him learn. The on-site therapists
(speech and language and OT) allow for a joined-up approach with teachers. For some
lessons these therapists are in the classroom during the subject lessons.
The individual teachers we have had during our time at the school have been absolutely
wonderful (special mention to Ms Karina, Ms Yogini, Ms Shivani and Mr Weaver and all the
TAs). In four years, our son has not complained once about going to school! The
headteacher is very involved in all aspects of school life and the staff remain available
whenever needed. I love how the teachers are contactable via Teams, the communication at
Winstedt is very efficient.
When we moved our son from his existing school he was overwhelmed and struggling. From
the first day he attended his trial at Winstedt, we could see that this was going to be a much
more suitable environment for him. Four years on we have a happy confident boy and we
couldn’t be more grateful. This is a very special school for any child whose brain works a bit
differently or for any children needing a more supportive set up at any stage in their school
life. We love you Winstedt!
