Welcome from our founder
After teaching both in the private and public sectors for several years, and partnering with the Dyslexia Association of Singapore (DAS) to set up its first library catering to the dyslexic reader, the vision for The Winstedt School was born.
Many of today’s learners are in a conundrum because of the limitations imposed in traditional classrooms, and how diverse learners are stereotyped. The Winstedt School challenges conventional thinking by creating an inclusive, comprehensive support system designed to leverage each student’s unique strengths. Individualised attention, small student-teacher ratios, selective curricula and equal emphasis on the soft skills can only result in all round success for our students.
Our approach is unique and innovative – just like our students! Our students develop into confident, thoughtful and creative young adults, with a strong sense of self-worth and self-awareness. Many of our graduates have been accepted into competitive schools around the world and continue to succeed in a broad range of subjects. Their success is an important testimony to the work we do.
As the Founder of The Winstedt School, I am proud of our students, staff, and parents who add depth to the Winstedt spirit and beliefs. I encourage you to visit our international school to understand who we are and what drives us to redefine the possibilities of education for those who learn differently.
We look forward to welcoming you at Winstedt!
Warmly,

Sharon Solomon
My experiences as a student and teacher have helped shape my decision to provide equal opportunities for those who learn differently, here in Singapore.
