Sonia Pathela
Profile
Sonia hails from Bangkok, Thailand, where she worked at the Village International Education Centre while pursuing her Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. She brings a wealth of experience and a deep commitment to education, particularly in supporting children with diverse learning needs, is experienced in supporting students with autism, Down syndrome, cerebral palsy, and dyslexia.
Since moving to Singapore in 2012, Sonia has been an integral part of the Winstedt community. She is driven by the belief that every child has unique strengths, and it is the educator’s role to create experiences that ensure each child’s success in their educational journey
Sonia continues her passion for inclusive education with her volunteer work at a children’s home in Thailand, where she teaches cooking and various sports, fostering both life skills and physical development. She enjoys running, cooking, and spending quality time with her family.
