Profile
A third-generation Singaporean, Sharon set up The Winstedt School in 2009. What was to be initially a preschool for diverse learners, grew year by year to eventually become an exceptional school for neurodiverse individuals aged 4 years to 18 years.
Sharon has taught both in the private and public sector, in addition to being a sessional lecturer in the field of inclusion. She partnered with the Dyslexia Association of Singapore to set up its first library and has served on the board of AWARE and Ronald McDonald House Charities Singapore.
Sharon graduated from James Cook University with a Bachelor’s in Psychology and a Master’s in Education and Graduate Certificate of Research Methods. She also has a Masters in Arts (Creative Writing) from Lasalle College of the Arts, a Diploma in Instrumental Enrichment (Mediated Learning) International Center for the Enhancement of Learning Potential in Israel and a Teaching Diploma AGSM (Education) from the London Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
