Hello! My name Is Jack W and I’ve been a student at the Winstedt school for 12 years now and am graduating in early summer 2025.
My journey at Winstedt was very interesting. I remember when I first started at school I thought I would not get along with anyone and I was always too shy to communicate with other people. However I felt that if I always never said anything, I was never going to make any friends so after a couple of weeks I managed to start talking with people in my class who I only felt most comfortable with. I started off by talking to a friend I met and I felt like I could share anything around him and also my interests and hobbies..
I started to talk with more people who I felt fine with and soon after, I knew I had friends that I was going to be okay in this school since I no longer felt like an odd one out. I later on managed to have many new friends in my school life and my education was always a success which surprised me because I’d thought I would not be able to succeed in school. Later on in my school years I started to feel more comfortable and understand more about this whole community itself and how it helps young kids like me to feel good about themselves and around others.
I’m getting ready to leave my journey behind at Winstedt soon. I’ll miss all the memories I’ve had here along with all the friends I’ve made, teachers who also have always been there for me and who would support me and encourage me in my learning. I wish luck to the new students at Winstedt and also the new Year 13’s for their last year of school!”
