Faculty Spotlight: Ms Valda Govi is our Secondary School Teacher who has been with Winstedt since 2019.
Why She Teaches?
Four years ago, she introduced Financial Literacy to the Secondary level to equip students with practical, real-world skills. Designing and developing this programme from the ground up has been a very fulfilling aspect of her professional journey.

What makes this journey even more meaningful is the positive feedback from both students and parents, knowing that students are applying what they’ve learnt at home and becoming more aware and responsible in their financial choices. It is learning that truly goes beyond school, and she remains passionate about creating meaningful experiences that make a lasting difference.
Prior to joining Winstedt, she’s had extensive experience in education as an Allied Educator (Learning and Behavioural Support) at a local school. She has also taught Mathematics and Science in Australia, as well as delivered reading and enrichment programmes.
She holds a Master of Education (Special Education) from Nanyang Technological University and a Diploma in Special Education from the National Institute of Education Singapore. Her qualifications also include a Graduate Diploma in Education from La Trobe University, a Bachelor of Science in Environmental Biology from Curtin University of Technology, and a Diploma in Electrical Engineering from Ngee Ann Polytechnic.
