Winstedt to the World
At Winstedt, we celebrate not just the achievements of our students while they’re here, but also the incredible journeys they embark on after graduation. Recently, one of our alumni returned to campus to share her experiences studying Business and Hospitality at James Cook University, and we couldn’t be prouder!
Advocating for Oneself
University life brings new challenges, from academic expectations to independent learning. As an English as an Additional Language (EAL) student, Kathy faces an added layer of complexity which she has embraced head-on.
Her ability to advocate for her own needs is a true testament to the values we instil in our students. At Winstedt, we don’t just prepare students for further study — we equip them with the confidence and resilience to thrive in the world beyond school.
Her story is an inspiring reminder that success is about more than just academics; it’s about self-awareness, independence, and knowing how to seek the right support. We can’t wait to see where her journey takes her next!
