We’re delighted to share that since she wrote this Senior Spotlight, Alice has been offered a place in the Level 3 Patisserie at Hastings College in the United Kingdom! A wonderful next step in her journey.

Hello, I am Alice and I’ve been a student at The Winstedt School since 2015 and am currently in Year 13. Throughout my time here, the school has truly felt like a second family. It has provided me with tremendous support, helping me navigate challenges and guiding me toward my next steps after graduation.
What I appreciate most about Winstedt is its warm and welcoming community, the extra support when needed, and the small class sizes. I’ve also had the chance to explore different courses that enriched my learning, such as the Sports Leaders course and my favorite – Career Studies on Fridays. Through this program, I discovered my passion for baking by attending Sunrice Academy.

One of the biggest highlights of my time here has been the privilege of becoming Head Prefect. This role has allowed me to grow both personally and socially, developing leadership skills and gaining a deeper understanding of myself and others. It has been a rewarding experience that has boosted my confidence and allowed me to support my peers.
By fostering my love of baking at Sunrice, I hope to attend a college in England to further develop my skills. Winstedt has given me the confidence and encouragement to follow my dream of hopefully opening my own bakery in the future – something I don’t think I would have even thought about achieving without the incredible support and opportunities I’ve received here.”
I’m getting ready to leave my journey behind at Winstedt soon. I’ll miss all the memories I’ve had here along with all the friends I’ve made, teachers who also have always been there for me and who would support me and encourage me in my learning. I wish luck to the new students at Winstedt and also the new Year 13’s for their last year of school!
