Our Secondary students recently had the exciting opportunity to participate in an Inclusive Theatre Workshop, led by Grace Lee-Khoo, iYC Lead Artist and head of Access Path Productions, alongside members from Singapore Repertory Theatre’s Inclusive Young Company (iYC).
Exploring the Aesthetics of Difference
Grace introduced our students to a unique approach to theatre that focuses on the aesthetics of difference. This style encourages participants to bring their own experiences and stories into their performances, supporting disabled-centered work. This approach, a core element of iYC, gave students an inspiring glimpse into what is possible with theatre, broadening their perspectives and expanding their conceptions of performance.
Thank You to the Inclusive Young Company Team
We are incredibly grateful to the iYC team for bringing this meaningful experience to our school. Their guidance and passion for inclusive theatre left a lasting impression, helping our students see the transformative potential of the arts.
