Our Middle and Senior school students embraced the joy of reading as they read their favourite books to their peers in Junior School and Early Years.
A Creative Contribution
One student, Benita, took it a step further, illustrating and writing her own ‘Number Blocks’ storybook for this special session!
Benefits of Peer Reading
Peer reading fosters social and emotional growth; Younger readers benefit from seeing fluent reading in action and gain positive role models. Meanwhile, older students develop patience and empathy as they guide younger readers through stories.
What a great way to build community in the school and to promote reading – we love spending time in the library with Ms Manju!
