Aditi Chakravarti
Profile
Aditi has gained experience as a speech-language therapist in a variety of paediatric settings in her 16 years of practice. She has worked across the public sector in AWWA and NUH, Singapore and Ministry of Education, New Zealand, as well as the private sector in India and Singapore. She has also set up and managed her independent practice since 2015 in Singapore.
Aditi is passionate about helping children and young adults communicate effectively and has spent most of her practising years providing support to clients (preschoolers, school-age children, young adults) with mild to severe disorders of communication. She has acquired specific experience managing disorders of hearing and auditory processing. Aditi believes strongly that children learn much better when they have fun and feel successful, and her emphasis at work is on carrying out therapies in a very fun and motivating manner.
Aditi shares Winstedt’s philosophy that every child should be taught in the way he/she learns best. She enjoys being part of a school that simultaneously looks at the individual strengths and needs of their students while providing curriculum-based education that is taught in a multi-disciplinary fashion. She feels that The Winstedt School provides an exemplary model for students with varied learning styles, and serves a significant gap in the educational ecosystem in Singapore.
Aditi’s personal endeavour at Winstedt is to provide students with optimal access to therapy within their learning contexts – with therapeutic supports being implemented throughout school routines for students to access the curriculum more effectively.
