Ann Yom Steel
Ann brings to Winstedt a solid track record of success as a global strategic leader. She has worked in private, public, and non-profit sectors spanning Washington D.C., Sydney, Australia, the Philippines, and Singapore.
Ann was appointed CEO at Winstedt in December 2020 after having served as the Chief Operating Officer from February 2020. Before joining Winstedt, Ann was the Chief Executive at the American Chamber of Commerce in Singapore where she grew the chamber to be the largest international business chamber in Southeast Asia.
She has also held several senior roles at the National University of Singapore including as Chief of Staff to the Dean of the Lee Kuan Yew School of Public Policy.
During her time in Sydney, she worked at Ogilvy, a PR agency, advising corporate clients on issue management and crisis communications. In the Philippines, Ann was the Head of Strategic Planning at one of Asia's largest international development organizations where she developed its 10-year global strategic plan.
A lawyer by training, Ann began her career in Washington D.C., where she worked for a U.S. Senator, as lobbyist and spokesperson for various trade associations, and later as a senior official on intergovernmental affairs in the Obama Administration.
